Well last weekend went very quickly and we are almost half way to the next weekend! Last weekend was particularly busy, i played hockey on Saturday for Chester against sale hockey club, i enjoyed playing. Once again i gave 110% and pushed myself even when i was feeling tired, I was busy attacking the left wing. I have pretty much made the left wing my position when i play hockey now., though occasionally play up front or the right wing. I enjoy left wing as i have to work twice as hard, and iam really starting to feel like i can control the game much better now.
On Sunday although uneventful i got down to writing my research methods for my masters, and i succeeded in making the essay up-to nearly 4000 words
So glad that is happy, also i have sorted out my dissertation idea and know exactly what i want to do for it, which is much better
Well ive changed the style and theme of my blog, i thought a change was better. And this theme brings together my blog and lifestream in a much better way. Before i use to run a lifestream using sweetcron, but although it was nice to track all of my internet activities, it didnt really do anything functional. As i doubt anyone cared that it was there, so with this new theme i can combine my blog and lifestream.
Also i have chosen to simplfy my blog, as im finding less time to create new themes, and do other creating. Im too busy with working, playing sports or chilling out, website building or other creating is firmly on a back burner, well until my dissertation is out of the way.
So on Saturday i returned to playing hockey, a week off of no training or matches since i injured my ribs against University of Lancaster in a Cup game for the University of Chester. I returned to club duty with an away game in Tarporley against Deeside Ramblers, against there 7th team. I was playing in a role i hadnt played in awhile which was right wing, i hadnt played there for so long but i enjoyed it.
I felt so fit and back up to form it was great, and my pace had returned, like on top of my game, also managed not to get injured for once haha. So all is good
The game was pretty much in our hands, we scored the first goal and had far more chances, by the end of the first half it should have been 5-0 to use. But we were only 1-1, not too bad for a half time score.
Second half was much of the same with either team counter attacking etc, quite a dynamic half lots of pace especially from our team, lots of chances, but thanks to Gregs two great goals at the end we were 3-3 at the end. All in all a great game, and probably one of my best games for along while
Well as im quite the computer game player, especially even more so with a good internet connection. I have ended up playing so many more games of late all due to Steam which is although a good way of playing games, does have the disadvantage i can be a bit too easy to part with my money haha.
Currently im playing the following games:
- Dawn of War 2 – i completed the campiagn which i liked alot especially towards the end with all equipment options which allowed for lots of customization and different tactics to opt, depending on the mission etc. And since the Last Stand game mode has been added im enjoying it even more, as it allows for even further tactics to explored with different load-outs.
- Borderlands this another game i have at the moment, which i find to be immensed especially with the cell shaded graphics and the 100s of weapons and the scavenge and loot features means you always are selling your old weapons and finding or buying newer ones, add vehicles, different enemies to face at different levels and multiple missions, enemies from bandits to bugs. And add in co-op functions and it becomes an addictive game. Oh and there a 4 characters to choose from and each can be customized so no two players can have the same character as you can customize your stats and abilities, its endless customization, its awesome!
- Dragon Age: Origins this is another game i have bought have yet to play but from the plot and screen shots its going to mean i will spend hours playing on it, and its made by bioware, who brought us KOTOR so i just know im going to love it.
Im hoping to add a few reviews of these games as i get round to it.
Well i’ve come to the conclusion i need a Holiday, or at least a proper break away. I had a few days off and that was nice last week. But i could do with a proper break away, currently of thinking of saving up and going out to Australia to see my brother, that would be quite the life time experience, its defiantly on the cards.
But as much as i want a holiday i do have to get on with and start what is starting to become known as the D word, which is my masters dissertation, as im having to work out and pinpoint what i am going to do my dissertation on. My current dissertation is based around “social networking with Sharepoint”. Which i think could be interesting as my line manager has said that it would be good for the University and my Job. As it would be strategic which is nice, also will not have to worry about funding my dissertation as he has said that the department would be able to pay for me to do my dissertation, so that’s awesome.
