The D Word

Seriously don’t mention the D word.

The D word is to blame why i don’t blog as much and because work is busy and my blog is a rollercoaster some months i feel like bogging and some months i don’t.

Ok i shall enlighten you all. The D word mean Dissertation, speak to any third year doing their undergraduate dissertation and you calmly don’t mention the D word around them as they will be trying to juggle it around essays, sports and having a social life. I on the other hand are juggling it around working full time work, and that it for the moment, but come September i know that will change as the new hockey season will be under-way and i know my social life will in defiantly pick up since people will be returning to Chester.

But on a plus note although i dont like mentioning the D word, i am actually currently on track with my Dissertation, today i wrote my third chapter, which gives me a running total of 5000 words written so far out of three chapters. Pretty good going so far, write the next big chapter which will be about 4000 words will mean i will be nearly half way through my dissertation.

Now all im waiting on is my feedback from the ethics committee which would be rather nice, so i know its been ethically approved.

Riverside

Well the University of Chester has recently purchased, County Hall in Chester to be the new home of the faculties of Education and Health and Social.

We will be calling the building Riverside, which ties in with this popular song.

Masters Results

So its been awhile since i updated my blog, this because im normally quite busy and to be honest when ive been at working sitting in front of a computer all day, all i want to do is chill out and take a break from it all. So in the future i may blog less and use my blog as a personal website to pull in all of my online interactions into one place and display them as a lifestream.

But anyway i finally got my masters results in and i have successfully passed all of my modules though i did have to do two resits of them, and it took me longer than a year to get them finished, actually nearly 3 years to get them done, but least i have them sorted now :) I should have had them sorted last year, but with the transition of going from full time student, to working full time, to having my own flat, playing hockey every weekend i think took its toll, but i found my way back and they have now been sorted :) .

So now the next step will be me to start on my dissertation, which im aiming to do as soon as possible, i just need to get in my dissertation proposal which i hope i can get in next week, its 2000 words so much smaller than what im use to as the normal essay i have written in the past is 4000 words. And i have all of the required material for the essay so thats a bonus.

Though my masters will be a dauting task, 16000 words is alot, but im nearly there now, it will all be worth it in the end :D .
