Well i have just been testing out the new k2 wordpress theme framework nightly release, and the recent changes that have been made to the framework are really nice, this can be seen over at my test are and demo area at demo.8bitdesign.co.uk.
The new nightly release add new columns and new widget placement for the theme which i really like, this allows new themes much more flexibility. I will wait until this is released before i stop updating any of my current themes.
Its looking very good, hopefully this will be in the next release.

The wordpress theme k2, which i use to power this blog and all of my websites has just been updated to 1.0. I have just installed the upgrade on this blog and i am impressed with all the fixed bugs and all of the enhanced features, check out the release over at the k2 website.
Also its worth a note since wordpress is also now up to 2.9 release, the new feature of post thumbnails is very interesting, this article is worth a read.
Well ive changed the style and theme of my blog, i thought a change was better. And this theme brings together my blog and lifestream in a much better way. Before i use to run a lifestream using sweetcron, but although it was nice to track all of my internet activities, it didnt really do anything functional. As i doubt anyone cared that it was there, so with this new theme i can combine my blog and lifestream.
Also i have chosen to simplfy my blog, as im finding less time to create new themes, and do other creating. Im too busy with working, playing sports or chilling out, website building or other creating is firmly on a back burner, well until my dissertation is out of the way.
I have been quite busy of late to actually get a proper blog in, i have so many projects on the go at the moment, which are:
8bitdesign – re-desing my portfolio/development website again – i just dont know which direction i meant to go with this website, hopefully come up with some new inspiration soon.
Sweetcron – currently wanting to create my own theme for my lifestream.
8bit-online – this blog im well happy with the theme and layout are good, will not be changing for a good while yet.
Arma2 – map making got back into making maps for Arma2 for Fragit, also just downloaded the model and addon creation pack which means i will be able to import my Nogovan Light Infantry into Arma2, also i have the Halo models which i in turn would like to convert, playing as Spartan in multiplayer that sound like alot of fun doesn’t it!
WordPress themes – really need to get round to uploading all of my wordpress theme when i can, so i can develop my portfolio further.
I have just finished building my Aunt and Uncle a website for their apartment in the lake district, which they are renting out when they arent using it. The website i have built is very simple and is built using wordpress and the theme framework of k2, which i still strongly support even though development has pretty much stopped for the framework now which is a shame as it was reveloutionary when it was first released, it still is now to all extent.
The website i have enjoyed making and constructing although simple, it does look very good in my opnion and functions very well, the k2 feature of allowing to choose what is seen on each page is a very handy function as it allows for dynamic and changing image sidebars which are nice. Overall i like the design of the website as it does the job and nothing more, it doesnt need to be anymore fancy.
